Oak Thicket Park is located on Lake Fayette, just 10 minutes from LaGrange. This 2,000 acre lake is a fishing paradise and a great family getaway. Voted one of the best bass fishing lakes in Texas. A variety of accomodations are available: furnished cabins with kitchens, screened shelters, wooded RV sites, tent sites, an outdoor pavilion, picnic facilities, hiking trails, and boat ramp. Popular actives include fishing, boating, picnicking, hiking , and birding.

Restrooms, showers, and dump station are available to park guests.

Oak Thicket Park is easy driving distance from Austin, Houston & SanAntonio

Features:

20 Wooded RV sites include 30/50 amp. electric, water, paved RV pad, picnic table, small standing grill & fire ring. Dump station available. RV and tent campers are permitted.

6 Screened Shelters will sleep up to 4 in two hard bunk beds. Each shelter has electricity, celing fan, outside electric and water spigot, picnic table, standing grill, fire ring. Restroom and showers available for shelter guests.

4 Efficiency cabins will sleep up to 4. Each room has heat/A/C,satellite tv, bed & bath linens, bathrooms,coffee makers, small refrigerator & microwave. There are picnic tables, grills and campfire rings outside.

2 Two bedroom cabins sleep up to 6. Each cabin has heat & A/C, satellite TV,bed & bath linens, bathrooms, kitchenettes,coffee pots, small refrigerator & microwave. There are picnic tables, grill and camp fire rings located outside.

2 Bunkhouse cabins sleep from 4 to 14. Each cabin has heat & A/C, satellite TV,bed & bath linens, bathrooms, kitchenettes,coffe pots, small refrigerator & microwave. There are picnic tables, grill and camp fire rings located outside.

Ammenities:
A Pavillion with picnic tables are available for large gatherings. Reservations are required.
Swim area and fishing pier with ADA restroom are available for day-use guests

Groups:
APrior written permission shall be obtained from LCRA for any organized group activity on LCRA land involving 20 or more individuals.

Entrance fees are per person, per day in addition to site fees and will be collected upon arrival at the park: :$4/person per day 13 yrs. & older, $2/person per day Seniors 65 & older, N/C 12 yrs. & under
Pets are welcome in the park, but must remain on a leash at all times. Only one pet per cabin is permitted.
Smoking is strictly prohibited in any building, including cabins.
No glass containers
Check-in for all sites 3pm & check-out 11am
Please contact park staff if arriving after 5:00pm
Park may fall under a burn ban without notice. Please go to www.lcra.org/parks for up to date status. A burn ban may include the restriction of all campfires, plus grilling with wood or coal.

Campsites:

Reservations cancelled at least 2 days (48 hours) in advance of the scheduled arrival date will receive a full refund minus any applicable transaction fees. No refund if reservations are cancelled less than 2 days (48 hours) prior to the scheduled arrival date.

Cabins:

Reservations cancelled at least 2 days (48 hours) in advance of the scheduled arrival date will receive a full refund minus any applicable transaction fees. No refund if reservations are cancelled less than 2 days (48 hours) prior to the scheduled arrival date.

Halls & Pavilions:

Before 15 days of arrival date: – Customer receives a full refund minus applicable transaction fees.

14 days or less of arrival date: – No refund.

Notification: For an emergency cancellation within 14 days of arrival contact LCRA park staff.

LCRA Transaction Fees:

For all reservations made on the web there will be a Reservation Fee of $6.00 per Transaction.

For reservations made through the Call Center there will be a Reservation Fee of $7.50 per Transaction.
