PET FRIENDLY CABIN:
Effective January 1, 2013, Cabin #5 will allow pets. If bringing a pet you will need to reserve Cabin #5. There is an additional $25 non-refundable service charge and a maximum of two pets permitted.

CABIN LOCK COMBINATION:
Before date of arrival, please call New Germany State Park at 301-895-5453 between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:00 pm to get the cabin lock combination. After 4:00 pm call 1-800-825-7275.
WILDLIFE:
The forest land around the park is home to black bears. They have been known to travel throughout the park looking for an easy meal. PLEASE keep all food in your vehicle or cabin and dispose of trash promptly.
Cabins in our state parks are located in natural forest environment which serve as home to a wide variety of wildlife. Wildlife that has been encountered by guests in the past include: mice, squirrels, chipmunks, bears, deer, skunks, bats, raccoons, & snakes (very rare occasions, poisonous snake).
CHECKOUT REQUIREMENT:
The park will charge the registered occupant for the cost of damages or substantial cleaning of cabins incurred during your stay.
ALCOHOL POLICY:
The consumption or possession of an open container of an alcoholic beverage will be prohibited in all areas of the park with the exception of interior areas of motorhomes, full-service cabins, and designated shelters. Additional Alcohol Policy Information can be found at:

LAKE LEVEL:
During the winter months the lake at New Germany will be lowered 4-5 feet in an attempt to combat vegetative growth in the lake.
SAME DAY ARRIVALS:
Visitors must contact the Park at 301-895-5453, Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 4 pm. to determine if accommodations can be made for a same day cabin reservation arrival.
LINENS:
You MUST provide your own bed linen (sheets/blankets/pillows), as well as bath & kitchen towels. All cabins have singe beds, except Cabin #1 which has a queen sized bed.
Linens (sheet/pillow case) are available at the park for a service charge-contact the park for details.
FIREWOOD RESTRICTION:
Due to the potential threat of the Emerald Ash Borer, the Maryland Department of Natural Resources has prohibited the importation of personal firewood into all DNR owned and managed properties. Please do not bring firewood with you from home when visiting a DNR property.
CAMPFIRE RESTRICTIONS:
Campfires are not permitted in the vicinity of the cabins. Only charcoal can be utilized in the outdoor grills at each cabin. Separate campfire areas have been set up near the cabin loop - contact HQ office for details.

The Park is open until Sunset.
PRICING:
Prices are subject to change without notice.
Additional Services are located within 5-18 miles from the Park.
FISHING: License is required.
MINIMUM STAY:
There is a two night minimum stay (Friday and Saturday) and a three night minimum weekend stay on holiday weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.

Cabin has a loft with two single beds and two single beds in the Living Room area. There are 23 stair steps from parking area down to the Cabin.
