CABIN CLOSURE - update May 3, 2013:
Beginning July 15, 2013 thru December 31, 2013, some of the full service cabins (Cabins 1 thru 10) at New Germany State Park may be closed during these dates as a result of planned renovation projects. Interested persons can frequently check back to see if any cabin may have reopened once work is completed. For additional information, contact New Germany 301.895.5453.
2013 Reservation/Transaction Fees:
In addition to the park facility use fee, there is a nightly reservation/transaction fee. Internet reservations, the per night fee is $4.56. Call Center, the per night fee is $4.61. Walk-In transactions at the park, the per night fee is $4.51. Reservation/Transaction Fees are Non-Refundable.
Cancellation Fee Policy Change-Effective May 1, 2013: To better serve our Maryland Park Service customers, we are changing our cancellation policy to a reservation cancellation service charge of $6 per reservation; except for Assateague Island State Park, which will remain at $6 per night. Alerts and Important InformationMoon bounces and amplified music are not permitted. There are no electric or water hook ups in the New Germany State Park Campground ALCOHOL POLICY:
The consumption or possession of an open container of an alcoholic beverage will be prohibited in all state park areas with the exception of interior areas of full-service cabins and motorhomes. Alcohol permits will only be issued through a reservation for a designated shelter, or other approved facility. A $35 fee will be charged for each alcohol permit. Permits may be revoked for cause by Park Manager, their designee or a Natural Resources Police Officer. Internet shelter reservations requiring an alcohol permit will need to contact the Call Center at 1-888-432-2267, Mon-Fri, 8 am - 8 pm to make your reservation.
