OverviewNebraska Tailwaters, nestled along the Nebraska bank of the Missouri River, is a fun-filled camping destination below Gavins Point Dam.Lewis and Clark Lake, a favorite recreation lake in the Great Plains, was formed by the Gavins Point Dam. Below the dam is Lake Yankton and the Missouri River. Each of these bodies of water provides excellent fishing opportunities. Natural Features:The campground sits on the southern shores of the Missouri River, along the tailwaters of the Gavins Point Dam. Surrounding the area is the golden, chalkstone-lined Missouri River Valley. Recreation:Fishing, hunting, boating, water skiing, swimming, bird watching, hiking, landscape photography and biking opportunities are all around. Facilities:Nebraska Tailwaters offers 42 sites, 31 of which have electric hookups and 11 of which are tent only. Amenities include shower facilities, shore fishing, a pay phone, handicap fishing pier and a boat ramp.
