Untouched by glaciers that left their mark elsewhere in the state, this park is rich with rock formations carved by erosion. Situated north of Savanna along the lofty, wooded palisades of the Mississippi River, the park's inhabitants include pileated woodpeckers, migratory waterfowl and other upland wildlife.

Mississippi Palisades State Park has 241 campsites which of 28 classA electric campsites that can be reserved, plus another 80 class A electric campsites and 137 class B campsites nonelectric that our first come first serve.
