Description

Mills-Norrie State Park is made up of two adjacent parks: Margaret Lewis Norrie and Ogden & Ruth Livingston Mills State Parks, bounded on the west by the Hudson River. Picnic on the bluffs overlooking the Hudson or play golf on the two nine-hole golf courses, whose grounds are open for cross-country skiers in winter. A bridle path, hiking, biking and snowmobiling trails are available, as well as a sledding hill on the lawn of the Mills estate, make Mills-Norrie State Park a popular destination year-round.

Morris-Norrie State Park is located near Staatsburg and Hyde Park.

Recreation:

Park activities include camping, picnicking, golf, hiking, horseback riding, and wintertime sledding, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling.

Facilities:

Facilities include campsites, cabins, a golf course, trails, a bridle path, and snowmobiling trails. The Norrie Marina provides boating and fishing access, and picnic areas sit on the bluffs overlooking the Hudson. The park is open year-round.

Alerts and Important Information

To insure fairness for all NY customers, any reservation with departure dates outside the 9-month Maximum Window can not be changed or cancelled until 18 days after the reservation was made.

  • Dogs are allowed in campsite areas, but are NOT allowed in cabins. All dogs require proof of current shots.
  • Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.
  • Firearms and other weapons are prohibited.
  • There is a central comfort station with showers and toilets in the campground for both cabins and campsites.

    CABINS

  • Cabins contains four sleeping bunks, but two additional can sleep on the floor if necessary.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to reserve a site or cabin.
  • There are no bathrooms in the cabins.
  • Cabins have a 2-night minimum stay all year.

    Peak season: A person may be the primary site occupant for 14 total days of camping within a 16 day period. S/he must leave the park for 48 hours once they have stayed the maximum number of days allowed before beginning a new reservation.
