Know Before You Go

Site

Two standard sized vehicles per site, only one RV per site. If you have two RVs you must book two seperate sites.

THIS SITE IS ONLY FOR CAMPERS WITH LIVESTOCK. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY LIVESTOCK (HORSES OR MULES) YOU MAY NOT RESERVE THIS SITE. IF YOU BOOK THESE SITES AND SHOW UP WITHOUT LIVESTOCK YOUR RESERVATION WILL BE CANCELLED AND YOU WILL HAVE TO FIND OTHER ACCOMMODATIONS.

All livestock must be accompanied by a current health certificate and Coggins test. Only weed free hay and straw is allowed. Pelleted feed, hay cubes and grain products are allowed. All manure must be picked up during stay and prior to check out. Reservations may be made up to 6 months in advance but at least 24 hours prior to arrival. Food and feed storage are strictly enforced due to the abundant wildlife within the campground. You must have a horse in order to book these sites and there is a 7 day consecutive camping limit and a 30 day per year individual limit.

Large parking loop for horse trailers is gravel filled. Also, you must have livestock to use this site and someone must remain on site with livestock at all times.

Notes

Site

Each site will hold 6 horses/head of stock and 6 people. Picnic tables, fire pits, water, feeders, troughs, restrooms and parking available. No hitching posts. Pay showers and laundry at service building.

A current health certificate and Coggins test is required for each equine. This applies to in-state stock as well.

In a proactive effort to prevent the introduction of nonnative plants into the park, only certified weed free forage (hay, straw, mulch) can be used in the park. Stock groups must be prepared to display proof of certification tags. No forage can be taken beyond a trailhead into the backcountry. Pelletized feed, hay cubes and grain products can be used in the backcountry. Grazing of stock is not permitted. you must have livestock (horse or mule) to occupy this site.

** Arrival dates earlier than the online-reservation-window may also be available at the campground.
