Description

Lakeside State Park offers an outstanding panoramic view of Lake Ontario and surrounding farms and fruit orchards. NO swimming is allowed, but 274 campsites, four miles of hiking and biking trails, fishing along the lake front, picnic grounds and playing fields bring thousands to the park. Winter activities include hiking, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.

Lakeside is located north of Albion, on Lake Ontario.

Activities include biking, fishing, hiking, hunting, and winter snowmobiling and cross-country skiing. Vistas abound.

Facilities:

Campsites have dumping stations and showers; the park also has pavilions, picnic tables, a playground, and playing fields, most of which are accessible to disabled visitors.

To insure fairness for all NY customers, any reservation with departure dates outside the 9-month Maximum Window can not be changed or cancelled until 18 days after the reservation was made.


  • NO pets in A, B, C, or D loops.
  • If your site allows for pets, only 2 per site are permitted.
  • Pets must have proof of rabies vaccination and remain on a leash at all times.
  • It is preferred that sites within designated pet loops are chosen when using Service animals. They will be allowed elsewhere when these sites are not available or practical.
  • Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 7 am.
  • NO swimming in lake allowed.
  • NO permanent hook-ups to water spigots.
  • Fires in fireplaces only.
  • Do not cut trees or branches.
  • Alcohol in Kegs or beer balls, firearms, air rifles, bows and arrows or slingshots are prohibited.
  • NO loud speakers or stereo equipment.
  • NO fish cleaning.
  • Must be 18 to register for a site.
  • Looking to reserve for just 1-night? If you make your reservation within 3 days of your arrival you can book a 1-night stay online or through the Call Center. This applies only to campsites.

    Peak season: A person may be the primary site occupant for 14 total days of camping within a 16 day period. S/he must leave the park for 48 hours once they have stayed the maximum number of days allowed before beginning a new reservation.
