Site

Groups that exceed 5 persons will be charged an extra $2 per additional camper upon check-in.
Alcoholic beverages, firearms (including fireworks) and other weapons are prohibited.
Check-in time is 4:00 p.m.; check-out time is 3:00 p.m.
Campfires may only be built in ring provided. Wood may not be gathered from the forest. Sectioned logs are usually provided, but campers should bring splitting tools.
You must occupy assigned site. Register with park ranger. 25 person limt per site included kids. No switching sites.
Park gates are locked at closing time and are not reopened until 8 a.m. The park closes at 6 PM November - February, 8 PM March, April, September, and October, and 9 PM May - August. Group Camp Gates close 30 minutes before park closure time.
Pets are allowed except in park buildings and swim areas, but they must be on a leash no longer than six feet and cannot be left unattended.
Quiet hours begin at 10 p.m. and end at 7 a.m. Generators may not be used during quiet hours or at any other time if they annoy, disturb or frighten other visitors.
Posted quiet hours are enforced. Building fires in undesignated areas is prohibited.
The group camp restrooms are cold water only and there are no showers - just sinks and toilets. There are no electrical outlets as well. Group campers may not use the family campground showers. When open, they may use the showers at the swimming area.
Unlicensed vehicles, unregistered motorcycles, golf carts, ATV's and mini-bikes are prohibited with the exception of mobility-aid devices used by a mobility-impaired person. All vehicles are prohibited from walkways, trails and other areas not designated for such purposes.
Sites are a 200 yard walk from the parking lot. Motorized vehicles do not have access to sites. Campers are encouraged to bring wheelbarrows or hand trucks to transport equipment.

Site

Park staff will provide campers with emergency instructions when they check in.
Person that are 16 years of age or more must possess a valid NC fishing license. Licenses are not sold at the park.
Campers must deposit their garbage in a dumpster located in the parking lot.

At least one adult, 18 or older, shall accompany each camper group.
Campers that arrive after closing time will have to camp elsewhere until park gates are opened at 8 a.m. There is a KOA campground located at exit 45 off of I-77. If 24 hrs late of arrival call 704-528-6350. Reservations will be forfeited if we do not hear from you within 24 hrs after arrival date
North Carolina state park rules and regulations are posted in each park and enforced by rangers. Violating these rules and regulations is a misdemeanor and may result in a fine and revocation of permit.
State vehicle and traffic laws are enforced, and the speed limit is 25 mph unless otherwise posted.
North Carolina state parks are wildlife sanctuaries; no hunting is allowed and collecting plants, minerals and artifacts is prohibited.
