Overview

Lake Cleveland Campground is a popular facility located next to its beautiful namesake, high in the Albion Mountain Range of southern Idaho. Visitors enjoy the area for its abundant trails, alpine lakes and scenic beauty.

Natural Features:

The campground is situated among vivid summer wildflowers and pine and fir trees on the eastern slope of Mount Harrison, at an elevation of 8,300 feet.

Recreation:

Lake Cleveland offers scenic views, canoeing, rainbow and cutthroat trout fishing and a few trail opportunities for hikers.

The Twin Lakes area is nearby, offering picnic areas and horse corrals. Additional opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and off-road vehicle are available in the surrounding areas of the mountain.

Facilities:

The campground contains dozens of single-family campsites, many of which are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The east loop is more suited for trailers, while the west side does not have a turnaround large enough to accommodate RVs.

Vault toilets are provided. A campground host is located on-site. Roads and parking spurs within the campground are dirt.

Nearby Attractions:

A visit up the road to the Mount Harrison Lookout, active and in use during fire season, offers interesting area information and breathtaking panoramic views of the valleys below.

Pomerelle Ski Area, just below Thompson Flat, offers lift-served hiking and mountain biking, scenic chairlift rides and a few dining options.
