IMPORTANT NOTE: Non-Virginia residents pay a higher rate than Virginia Residents.
Trailer 01: Located in the campground of the park; it follows the same transfer, cancellation and pet fee policies as the lodges and cabins in our park system. The trailer does have a bathroom. One double bed (sleeps 2), one double pull-out sofa (sleeps 2), two single beds (bunk bed style attached to the wall which sleeps 1 each; no bed rentals). Guests must bring their own linens, pillows and TV. Guests who do not wish to sleep together may bring air mattress or sleeping bag, however maximum capacity 6 applies. Check in time is 3pm; check out time is 10am. Guests are responsible for any damage. Late arrivals must call the park to arrange key pickup and late arrival check in advance. Upon check-in guest will be walked through trailer and given instructions on certain operations. Smoking is not allowed. The trailer has an oven/stove, microwave, coffeemaker, refrigerator, pots/pans, dishes, utensils, plates, cups, toilet/shower, water, radio/tape player, air conditioner/heat pump, picnic table and fire ring. Table seating for four. The site can accommodate a vehicle and a vehicle with a boat trailer. Extra vehicles will have to park in overflow parking area and pay daily parking fees, if space is available. Unguarded beach swimming on Chesapeake Bay coast (no charge). Kiptopeke's northern beach fronts nearly half a mile on the Chesapeake Bay and features a beach and swimming area from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Pets are not allowed on the swimming beach. In the summer, swimming is free for overnight guests, however it cannot be guaranteed should circumstances beyond the park's control require that swimming be closed. No canoes, kayaks or boats are allowed in the swimming area. Pets, fishing, boating and crabbing are allowed on the south beach. Because parking is limited, campers who wish to park their boat trailer at the boat launch area must pay the daily fee. There's no charge for boat launching for camping guests who park trailers at their campsite.
