Lodge 01: This is a six-bedroom large cabin (lodge);it is the only fully ADA handicapped accessible lodge in this park; this is the only lodge with a ramp for wheelchair access; maximum capacity 16; three full baths, 1 of which is handicapped accessible; two queen size beds in two bedrooms (each room sleeps 2); two single beds in two bedrooms (each room sleeps 2); two sets of bunk beds each in two bedrooms (each room sleeps four); no bed rentals and no pull-out sofa-beds. Guests who do not wish to sleep together may bring air mattress or sleeping bag, however maximum capacity 16 applies. During prime season Memorial weekend to Labor Day, this requires a weekly Friday-Friday. Check in time is 3pm; check out time is 4pm. Kitchen: Refrigerator, stove, coffeemaker, dishes, dishcloth, dish towels, silverware, cooking utensils, pots, pans, microwave oven, toaster, electric can opener, clock radio. One set of bed linens per bed and one set of towels per person; the towels are not changed daily. You may wish to bring your own pillow as well as a comforter for chilly nights. There is no TVs or phone. Maximum six cars (2 of these 6 spaces are handicp accessible parking spaces) and two boat trailers (eight total spaces each lodge); all others must pay the daily park rate and park in the area designated by the park. Two covered porches. no smoking. Heated and air-conditioned with heat pump. Gas logs. Unguarded beach swimming on Chesapeake Bay coast (no charge). Kiptopeke's northern beach fronts nearly half a mile on the Chesapeake Bay and features a beach and swimming area from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Pets are not allowed on the swimming beach. In the summer, swimming is free for overnight guests, however it cannot be guaranteed should circumstances beyond the park's control require that swimming be closed. No canoes, kayaks or boats are allowed in the swimming area. Pets, fishing, boating and crabbing are allowed on the south beach. Because parking is limited, campers who wish to park their boat trailer at the boat launch area must pay the daily fee. There's no charge for boat launching for overnight guests who park trailers at their lodge.
