Kingman SFL, KS
DescriptionKingman State Fishing Lake, 7 miles west of Kingman on U.S. Highway 54, added two modern rental cabins overlooking the lake in 2010. The area charges no entry fees, and the cabins are available year-round, accommodating as many as six overnight guests. The area around the lake provides hiking, wildlife viewing, primitive camping year-round, and a newly-refurbished group shelter for family gatherings. The main attraction is fishing and hunting is available on the adjacent 4,622-acre Byron Walker Wildlife Area, through which the Ninnescah River flows.
The cabins are air conditioned and heated and sleep six comfortably on one full, one single futon, one double futon, and one single Murphy beds. Users must provide their own bedding, pillows, towels, and toiletries. A hot shower, complete kitchen, refrigerator, stovetop, and microwave are included, along with an outdoor patio and picnic table. A fire ring is available for evening campfires. Other amenities include kitchen utensils, dishes, pots, pans, and coffee pot.
The 4,622 acre Byron Walker Wildlife Area/Kingman State Fishing Lake public hunting and fishing area is open to hunting, fishing, and wildlife viewing.
The cities of Kingman and Pratt are within 25 miles of the cabins.

Alerts and Important InformationA non-refundable reservation fee is charged for each transaction. Reservations must be made at least 3 days prior to arrival. No tent, trailer, or RV camping is allowed at the cabin sites. All dishes should be left clean and put away. A vinyl trash dumpster is located behind cabin to provide service for both cabins. Trash should be taken to the dumpster before checking out. Staff will inspect the cabin after you leave and additional charges may be applied for cleaning, missing items, or damages.
