Firewood Alert: Because of the seriousness of a potential infestation from the Emerald Ash Borer, we are requesting that no firewood be brought into South Carolina State Parks from outside of the state.

The Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) is a destructive invasive exotic beetle that feeds on ash trees. Park campgrounds and picnic areas are the most likely areas for EAB introduction into South Carolina. We appreciate your help in protecting the natural resources of South Carolina and our State Park System.

Description

This 1,000-acre park features outstanding rock outcroppings and views of the Foothills and Blue Ridge Mountains. Rhododendron, mountain laurel and other mountain vegetation can be found along the streams in the park. Facilities include picnic areas with shelters, a campground, a cabin, lake fishing and trails.

Alerts and Important Information
Park hours are Sat - Thur 9AM - 6PM, Fri 9AM - 8PM (Standard Time); Park hours during Daylight Savings Time are 9AM - 9 PM daily. Public display or consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited. Pets must be on a leash no longer than six feet or otherwise under physical restraint at all times. Pets are not permitted in the cabin or cabin area. Please contact the park to reserve ADA (Disabled Access) Standard and Full Service sites.
Make arrangements in advance for entering or exiting the park after hours.
*Trailside sites have a one-night minimum stay*

Keowee-Toxaway is located twelve miles northwest of Pickens at the intersection of SC Hwy 133 and SC Hwy 11 at Lake Keowee. Driving Directions: 12 mi. N.W. of Pickens at the intersection of SC Hwy 11 and SC Hwy 133.
