OverviewBoaters, fishermen, swimmers and families love this shoreline retreat along Lake Roosevelt. The 130-mile lake is a feature of the Columbia River created by the Grand Coulee Dam. Keller Ferry is part of the Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area, named after President Franklin D. Roosevelt and managed by the National Park Service.Campers have the convenience of a swimming beach within a short walk of the campsites, a boat ramp within the facility and plenty of space to sit back and soak up the summer sun or relax during the cooler days of spring and fall. Natural Features:The campground itself is very green with shade trees, although the surrounding area is mostly dry scrubland with few trees. The lake has comfortable temperatures for swimming during summer, though much of the water originates from glaciers and snowmelt in the cold, high Canadian Rockies. Recreation:This facility supports a range of activities including boating, water skiing, swimming and fishing for trout, walleye, bass and more. Hunting is also popular in the surrounding forests. Facilities:The facility is open year-round. In winter, the water is turned off but the pit toilets remain open. There are 55 individual sites available for RV or tent camping. Because summer is the busiest season, reservations are recommended. Nearby Attractions:Keller Ferry is located about 40 minutes from the massive Grand Coulee Dam. Activities and Amenities
