Find Campsites

Hinton / Jasper KOA, AB

Description

Watch the sun sink behind the awesome Canadian Rockies at this KOA's quiet, peaceful setting. Three creeks border this beautiful clean-air campground in an open, treeless meadow at the foot of the mountains. It's a perfect base for trips to area parks. The entrance to Jasper National Park is 15 minutes away. Marvel at this park's rugged peaks, blue glaciers and wildflower meadows. Wildlife is abundant, including bighorn sheep. Ride the aerial tramway 3,281 feet to the summit of Whistlers Mountain for views of six mountain ranges, teal-green glacial lakes and rivers. Take to hundreds of miles of trails on foot or drive the lovely Icefields Parkway that winds south along the Continental Divide to Banff National Park. Or head north: KOA is 1 km west of Highway 40, the scenic route to Alaska. Due to Yellowhead County regulations there are NO INDIVIDUAL FIREPITS at any sites. There is ONE central firepit pavillion where you can enjoy the fire while you meet and share your experiences with campers from around the world.
