SERVICE CHARGES:
In addition to the shelter rental, there is a service charge to enter the park.

Memorial Day to Labor Day: Weekends $3 per person. Weekdays $3 per vehicle. Out-of-State residents, an additional $2.

All other times, the service charge is $3 per vehicle; Out-of-State residents, an additional $2.

ALCOHOL POLICY:

The consumption or possession of an open container of an alcoholic beverage will be prohibited in all state park areas with the exception of interior areas of full-service cabins, motorhomes, and designated shelters. Permits may be issued upon request by the Park Manager for special events operating under a use agreement.

Alcohol permits will only be issued through a reservation for a designated shelter, or other approved facility. A $35 fee will be charged for each alcohol permit and must be obtained 1-day out prior to arrival. Permits may be revoked for cause by Park Manager, their designee or a Natural Resources Police Officer.

Internet shelter reservations requiring an alcohol permit will need to contact the Call Center at 1-888-432-2267, Mon-Fri, 8 am - 8 pm to make your reservation.

TRASH FREE:
There are no trash cans in the park. All trash must be packed out. Reduce/Reuse/Recycle.

PARK HOURS:
The park is open 8:00 am until Sunset. Visitors using the Shelter must leave by Sunset.

WILDLIFE:
The forest land around the park is home to black bears. They have been known to travel throughout the park and picnic areas looking for an easy meal. PLEASE keep all food in your vehicle and do not leave food unattended.

PETS:
Pets are not permitted in the day-use area of the park from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.

FIREWOOD RESTRICTION:
Due to the potential threat of the Emerald Ash Borer, the Maryland Department of Natural Resources has prohibited the importation of personal firewood into all DNR owned and managed properties. Please do not bring firewood with you from home when visiting a DNR property.

SHELTER RATES:
New Fee Structure: Holiday weekdays/Saturday/Sunday, shelter rental is $20/day. Non-Holiday weekdays, shelter rental is $15/day, .

PARK AND SHELTER AMENITIES:
Shelter handicapped accessible (paved access). Within 200 yards of concession, beach, and additional picnic areas. Easy access for caterers. Grills. Drinking water available at or next to shelter. Electric, but no overhead lighting. Less than 150 ft. from parking. Next to horseshoe pit. Open play area nearby. Shelter has 30 parking spaces.

LAKE/BEACH:
53 acre lake with an average depth of 8 feet. Beach swimming area. Hourly canoe/kayak rental. Boat Launch area for electric powered boats. Gasoline motorboats NOT permitted.
