Description

Hamilton County F&W Area also known as Dolan Lake , is a 1,683 acre site ideal for outdoor enjoyment. The property was acquired by the State of Illinois in 1960 and in 1962 a earthen damn was constucted for a 75 acre lake.The lake has 3 miles of shoreline and maximum depth is 18 feet. The site is one of gently rolling hills, with 1,300 acres being open for hunting. Most of the hunting area consists of small, open fields bordered by heavy fence rows, border plantings of warm season grasses, lespedeza and small food plots for wildlife food and cover.

Shelter Reservations are non-refundable unless the area is closed by the Department, in this circumstance the Site Manager will contact you prior to your reservation date to cancel and issue your refund.

* A responsible adult (18 years of age or older) from the camping party must register for the party and thereby acknowledge compliance with the rules and regulations of the park for the party. * The maximum length of camping stay from May 1 through September 30 is 14 nights in any 30 day period. * All pets must be on leash. Pet owners are resonsible for their animal's waste and must dispose of it properly, There is NO pets alowed in cabins. * All visitors are required to leave the park at or before 10:00PM.
