TWO VEHICLES PER SITE:
Two vehicles are allowed per Youth Group Site. There is additional parking available for groups exceeding the two vehicle limit per site at the end of the family camping area and at the Visitor Center.
YOUTH GROUP CAMPING INFORMATION:
A valid Maryland DNR Youth Group Pass is required to reserve a designated Youth Group Camping Area. Nightly service charges apply.If you do not have a MD Youth Group Pass, please call the Park at 301-842-2155, Monday-Friday, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm for reservation.
Valid Youth Group Pass must be presented upon check-in. Additional service charges will be applied if unable to provide proof of valid pass.
A Youth Group must be sponsored by a recognized organization and must consist of juveniles aged 17 and under. The Maryland Park Service does not assume any direct responsibility for the Youth Group. Supervision is the responsibility of group leaders and the sponsoring organization.
Adult leaders must accompany the group at a ratio of 1 adult to 5 youths. Exception to Youth Group would be Cub Scouts, then 1-1 ratio is allowed under scouting guidelines.
Youths are not to be left unsupervised. Any permit may be canceled and any person or group may be required to leave the park for violation of park rules and regulations.
NO family camping in Youth Group Camping Areas.

Youth Group Area Amenities:
YG Area has Porta-Pots located 40-90 ft. from sites. Large fire-ring and 2-3 picnic tables per site. Water is available before entering the Family Camping Area. Please bring water containers. Grills for cooking are permissible.
Close to Big Pool Lake, C&O Canal and Potomac River.

FIREWOOD RESTRICTION:
Due to the potential threat of the Emerald Ash Borer, the Maryland Department Natural Resources has prohibited the importation of personal firewood into all DNR owned and managed properties. Please do not bring firewood with you from home when visiting a DNR property.
NO ALCOHOL PERMITTED:
No alcohol permitted in Youth Group Camping Areas.

CAMPFIRES:
Downed wood may be gathered for firewood. No chainsaws are permitted. Firewood is available for sale at the park store and at Visitor Center when open. All open fires must be contained in the fire ring provided. Fires must be attended at all times.
TRASH FREE:
Maryland State Parks are trash free. All trash generated by a group must be taken out by the group. Please bring sufficient large trash bags to accommodate the groups trash. Park personnel will not remove trash.
LATE ARRIVALS:
Late arrivals call Park for instructions. The entrance gate will be closed at 9:30 pm. Please be sure to have someone arrive prior to this time to register and receive the gate combination.
CHECK IN:
Check-In information at Visitor Center. If Visitor Center is closed, instructions will be posted on the camping board at the Visitor Center.
EQUIPMENT:
Tents only in the Youth Group Areas. Dining Fly is permitted. Tents must remain on the grass sites. There will be NO camping allowed in the wooded areas.
QUIET HOURS:
Quiet time will be maintained in the campground from 10 pm to 7 am.
FORT SERVICE CHARGES:
The admission charge for the Fort is, $3.00 for Adults, $2.00 for children 6-12. Organized Youth Groups pay $1.00 per person if they visit the Fort as an organized group.
