Alerts and Important Information

Group Campsite B allows 50 people and 25 vehicles to register over night. No others will be allow to register for the evening and are required to vacate by the park closing hours.

You are reserving a specific site. The Group Sites (A, B, & C) are on Lake Natoma, not on Folsom Lake. The park entrance gates are locked at 10 pm during peak season and 7 pm during off season. Campers who anticipate arriving after the closing hours should call the park office at (916) 988-0205, Monday - Thursday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, to obtain the gate combination. Each of the group sites are approximately 50 to 100 feet from the parking lot via a dirt trail. The vegetation at Sites A & B and the topography and restroom building at Site C blocks the view of the parking lot from the campsites. Lake Natoma is approximately a five-minute walk from the campground via a dirt trail. This lake can fluctuate in elevation by as much as 7 feet a day, but that does not significantly increase the distance to the shoreline. Negro Bar has flush toilets, fire rings, barbeque pits, and picnic tables available in each site. There are no showers; however, campers are welcome to use the shower facilities located a Beal's Point approximately 5 miles away.

General Information: Located on Lake Natoma. The day use/swim area is approximately ¼ mile from the campground. There are shade ramadas, barbeque pits, restrooms and seasonal kayak rentals. A launch ramp is available year round; however, the lake has a 5 mph speed limit and motorized vessels are prohibited down stream of Willow Creek. Seasonal day use hours: Peak Season from 6 am -10 pm, Non-Peak Season from 7 am - 7 pm. Historic Folsom Powerhouse and horse trail nearby.

Footnotes: (applicable only where specifically marked above)
