Nightly rates are $100 for non peak dates and $110 for peak dates.

Consumption or use of alcoholic beverages or intoxicants is unlawful in any public-use area.

Thanksgiving or Christmas Day check-ins are not allowed. Please defer cottage check in to the day before or the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Guest planning to arrive after 10 pm must contact park 706-663-4858 to obtain information about checking into their cottage. If you do not arrive on the first night of your stay, your reservation will be cancelled, and you will forfeit your deposit.

No Smoking. One bedroom cottage. Sleeps 4. Two double beds. Has one bath (shower only). Bed and bath linens provided. Fully equipped kitchen with coffee maker and microwave. Two fireplaces (wood not provided). Heat/AC. No TV. No phone. Has screened porch.

No pets allowed in and around cottage areas.This policy does not apply to Service Animals.

All campfires must be kept in designated areas such as fire rings.

Smoking is prohibited in all enclosed facilities, including buildings owned, leased, or operated by the State or local governing authorities.

Park gates are locked from 10 pm - 7 am. Parks hours are 7 am - 10 pm. Park office hours are 8 am to 5 pm (Mon-Thurs), 8 am to 10 pm (Fri) and 8 am to 6 pm (Sat. & Sun). Quiet hours are between 10 pm and 7 am. Radios, TV's, musical instruments, & all other noise-making devices are not to be used between 10 pm and 7 am and must be kept at a low volume at all other times. All group gatherings must conclude by 10 pm.

All vehicles on site must purchase and display a GA parkpass. Park roads are public roads. All vehicles are subject to license safety requirements and regulations of the Georgia Dept of Public Safety. Off-road vehicles and ATV's are not allowed in state parks.

Any device that discharges projectiles by any means is prohibited

Children 15 and younger with bicycles and/or scooters, must wear helmets while riding in the park. Helmets available for rent at park.

The Ultimate Wedding Package was created to make your decisions as a Bride and Groom as simple as possible. The State Park is well known for its beautiful scenery and recently updated accommodations.

  • Reservations are required for the use of any venue for wedding ceremonies, rehearsals and other events.
  • Park Admission: Discounted parking passes may be purchased up to one week prior to the wedding when final guest count is provided. Please see extras for prices. The regular $5 parking fee will be charged per car if not bought in advance.
  • Rice, birdseed, and sparklers may not be used due to the harm they cause wildlife and natural resources. The release of any animal is also prohibited.
  • The natural beauty of the Group Shelter causes for most wedding parties to find additional decorations not necessary. Though if you do find the need for extra decorations please consider the use of: nails, stables or heavily gummed tape (duct tape) is not permitted.
  • All existing features, including signage, must remain in place.
  • Alcohol is permitted ONLY inside the building.

    The Venues Chosen
    The Park Venues are a key feature to the park. It is necessary to schedule rehearsals and ceremonies around Park events and hours of operation. The park is open year round from 7 a.m to 10 p.m daily.

    A non-refundable deposit is required the day the reservation is created. Please see the Payment Guidelines section for additional information.
  • All have shower stall only. Cottages 3 and 4 are stone cottages located on top of mountain .Cottage 8 is on the lake. Cottages 9 and 10 are located near the lake. Cottage 11 is located on a hill across from the lake and is more isolated. Cottages 8-11 have screened porches.

    Maxmium of 2 vehicles per cottage.

    No Smoking. No pets. 5 night minimum for June, July, & August; 2 night minimum rest of year except major holidays. Vehicles must purchase and display GA ParkPass. Max occupancy 4, no exceptions. Guest arriving after 10pm must contact park office during office hours to obtain info about check-in. Park gate closes at 10pm. Rates do not include taxes or ParkPass fees.

    ** Arrival dates earlier than the online-reservation-window may also be available at the campground.
