Description

Evangola State Park's major attraction is its beautiful arc-shaped shoreline and natural sand beach on Lake Erie. Low cliffs of Angola shale line the edge of the beach. In addition to swimming, the park has picnic facilities, baseball and soccer fields, tennis and basketball courts, and campsites.

Geography:

Evangola State Park is located on Lake Erie, in southern Erie County.

Recreation:

Visitors here love biking, fishing, hiking, hunting, picnicking, and camping in the warm months. In the summer, the park hosts an annual Pirate Festival and an annual Tomato Festival. Winter visitors to the park enjoy snowmobiling and cross-country skiing.

Facilities:

The park offers a beach, a nature trail, pavilions, picnic tables, playing fields, a playground, and campsites (with showers and dumping stations). Most of the facilities are accessible to the disabled. The beach and a restaurant are both within walking distance of the campground.

!! Park Improvements !! The campground is working on a brand new restroom facility in the central area near Loops 1, 2 and 4. Please be patient with us while this construction takes place this season.

Each year the campground makes every effort to provide safe swimming opportunities by testing the water and by keeping the swimming areas staffed with lifeguards. Please be aware that if the safety of our swimmers is compromised, due to lack of lifeguard coverage or water quality issues, swimming will be prohibited and therefore cannot be a guaranteed activity. We apologize for this inconvenience as it may occur with little advance notice.

To insure fairness for all NY customers, any reservation with departure dates outside the 9-month Maximum Window can not be changed or cancelled until 18 days after the reservation was made.

Only 2 pets per site are permitted. Current rabies certificate required. Pets must be on a leash no longer than 6ft at all times.

For Cabin renters - the cabin is smoke free and NO pets are permitted.

Sites are not numbered consecutively, please consult look at the maps.

Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.

All patrons must be 21 to possess or consume alcohol.

Management reserves the right to require visitors to park in the Park when the campground parking lots are full. Your auto and/or camping unit must be parked on a gravel driveway or lot where provided.

An extension cord may be needed to reach power source.
