Description

Evangola State Park's major attraction is its beautiful arc-shaped shoreline and natural sand beach on Lake Erie. Low cliffs of Angola shale line the edge of the beach. In addition to swimming, the park has picnic facilities, baseball and soccer fields, tennis and basketball courts, and campsites.

Evangola State Park is located on Lake Erie, in southern Erie County.

Recreation:

Visitors here love biking, fishing, hiking, hunting, picnicking, and camping in the warm months. In the summer, the park hosts an annual Pirate Festival and an annual Tomato Festival. Winter visitors to the park enjoy snowmobiling and cross-country skiing.

Facilities:

The park offers a beach, a nature trail, pavilions, picnic tables, playing fields, a playground, and campsites (with showers and dumping stations). Most of the facilities are accessible to the disabled. The beach and a restaurant are both within walking distance of the campground.
