    Description

    Estes Park Campground at East Portal is a charming campground illustrating idyllic camping in the Rocky Mountains. This property sits at the base of a mountainside in the midst of a pine forest. The view gives you the notion of being alone in the quiet wilderness, yet the campground has all the simple amenities you would need to fulfill the basic securities of home. There are a handful of trailheads leading into Rocky Mountain National Park from here and a shuttle is available in the summer for various routes in and around the town of Estes Park.

    Certain Areas in the Campground require vehicles less than 22' to maneuver through the campground roads. Experienced trailer drivers are recommended. Please obey Maximum Vehicle Length suggestions specific to each site.
    Bears are in the area. Please consider food and litter management a crucial part of your stay.

    From downtown Estes Park take U.S. Highway 36/CO 66 west approximate 1.7 miles. Take CO 66 to the left (becomes Tunnel Road), for about 3.3 miles to the campground.
