DescriptionDonner Memorial State Park is located on Donner Lake in the Sierra-Nevada. Closed when not on reservations. mountain range. The museum also features displays on the region's history and natural environment. Alerts and Important Information D.L. Bliss, Donner Memorial, Emerald Bay, Sugar Pine Point and Tahoe SRA are OPEN during the winter for hiking and snowshoeing, but these parks are CLOSED to camping beginning mid-September (varies by park).
Discount Pass must be presented at the time of check in.
Your DMV Disabled Placard/License Plate does not automatically give you a discount on your campsite. You will need to obtain a CA State park-issued Disabled Discount Pass (DDP) or Distinguished Veterans Pass (DVP). Some sites in Creek campground MAY be open (weather permitting) in October; please call the park for more information at (530) 582-7892. WARNING: Metal bear resistant food lockers are provided in each campsite. All food, beverages, and toiletries are required by law to be stored in provided food lockers. The inside dimensions of the food lockers are 36" deep, 43" wide, and 22" high. Violators will be cited. Camp at your own risk! By choosing to enter or camp at Donner Memorial SP you assume the risk of personal injury or property damaged caused by bears.
