Site

Walk in sites are tent / hammock only. Sites are 30 to 300 yards from parking area. Drinking water and Port-a-let restrooms available at parking area. Sites do not have electricity, water or access to showers. Fire ring, lantern post and a small prep table is available at each site. Maximum of 6 persons / two tents or four hammocks per site.

Check-in is between 1 pm and 5 pm and check-out is before 1 pm. Primitive Campsite reservations have to arrive and be checked-in before 5 pm. Campers must register and present a reservation confirmation before setting up. If you do not arrive on the first night of your stay, your reservation will be cancelled, and you will forfeit your deposit.

Any device that discharges projectiles by any means is prohibited.

Consumption or use of alcoholic beverages or intoxicants is unlawful in any public-use area.

Bows and arrows, explosives, fireworks, slingshots, fishing spears or any device that discharges projectiles by any means is prohibited. Firearms must be unloaded, cased and stored, unless a person possesses a valid weapons-carry license for a firearm that is valid in Georgia. A person possessing a valid weapon-carry license to carry a firearm valid in this state may carry such firearm on Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites, except on sites where carrying such firearm is prohibited by federal law.
