Effective Monday, March 3, we will not be accepting any reservations beyond Sunday, June 8, for camping, picnicking, swimming or special events at Del Valle Regional Park. This action is in response to the historic drought conditions affecting California. A predicted drawdown of Del Valle reservoir this summer for drinking water supplies will most likely result in the lake level falling below the intakes of the parks public water system. Without an operational park water system we will be unable to provide drinking water, operate the parks sanitary sewer system, or provide for adequate fire protection. Existing reservations prior to June 8 will be honored but are contingent upon adequate lake levels and water supplies.
This EQUESTRIAN primitive group campsite (NO DAY USE) has 6 stalls, a fire ring surrounded by 4 benches, 2 extra large BBQs, three 10-ft picnic tables, and a 10-ft serving table, drinking water and 1 water trough. 3 pole tethering system available (bring 100-ft. rope), a 6-ft high line for 3 horses, dumptser & shovel. Chemical toilets at site; flush toilets and showers are available at the family campground. Minimum group size 4, maximum capacity 50 campers/45-50 horses/15 vehicles allowed at site: call park supervisor to discuss.
Camping reservation must be completed 5 days prior.
