Effective Monday, March 3, we will not be accepting any reservations beyond Sunday, June 8, for camping, picnicking, swimming or special events at Del Valle Regional Park. This action is in response to the historic drought conditions affecting California. A predicted drawdown of Del Valle reservoir this summer for drinking water supplies will most likely result in the lake level falling below the intakes of the parks public water system. Without an operational park water system we will be unable to provide drinking water, operate the parks sanitary sewer system, or provide for adequate fire protection. Existing reservations prior to June 8 will be honored but are contingent upon adequate lake levels and water supplies.
This group site is located inside the family campground (minimum group size 11; maximum capacity for 75 campers) with parking for 15 vehicles. The site has six 10-ft picnic tables, a rock fire circle with 4 benches, a drinking fountain with spigot, and two chemical toilets. There is one chemical toilet at the site, and showers are available near sites 79 and 138 in the family camping area.
Overnight parking passes are REQUIRED; 15 passes will be mailed 5 days prior to reservation. Parking capacity is set; no extra passes can be issued.
SWIMMING is allowed ONLY in designated areas - see posted signs.
GATE HOURS: Campground gate closes at 10pm, no entry possible after 10pm until gates re-open the next morning.
