DAY-USE SERVICE CHARGE:
In addition to the Shelter service charge, there is a $3 per person charge into the Park from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.
$3/vehicle Honor Box charge, Spring & Fall.
Out of State residents add $2 to all service charges.

WILDLIFE:
The forest land around the campground and day-use area is home to Black Bear. Black Bear sightings are common in the campground. Campers are reminded to keep their site clean at all times by properly disposing of trash and keeping all food items secured. Each campsite has a bear proof food storage locker with 24 cubic feet of storage space with enough room for two standard size coolers and dry goods.
ALCOHOL POLICY:
The consumption or possession of an open container of an alcoholic beverage will be prohibited in all state park areas with the exception of interior areas of full-service cabins,motorhomes, and designated shelters. Permits may be issued upon request by the Park Manager for special events operating under a use agreement.
Alcohol permits will only be issued through a reservation for a designated shelter, or other approved facility. A $35 non-refundable fee will be charged for each alcohol permit. Permits may be revoked for cause by Park Manager, their designee or a Natural Resources Police Officer.
Internet shelter reservations requiring an alcohol permit will need to contact the Call Center at 1-888-432-2267, Mon-Fri, 8 am - 8 pm to make your reservation.

FIREWOOD RESTRICTION:
Due to the potential threat of the Emerald Ash Borer, the Maryland Department Natural Resources has prohibited the importation of personal firewood into all DNR owned and managed properties. Please do not bring firewood with you from home when visiting a DNR property.
PET POLICY:
Pets are not permitted at the Shelters or Beach, please advise all shelter guests.

TRASH FREE:
Maryland State Parks are TRASH FREE. All trash generated by a group must be taken out by the park when they leave. Please bring sufficient large trash bags to accommodate the groups trash. Reduce/Reuse/Recycle.
PARK HOURS:
The park day-use area is open 8:00 am to SUNSET. Visitors using the Shelters must leave the park by Sunset.
SHELTER AMENITIES:
Located next to horseshoe pit. 19 parking spaces. Electric outlets, lights. Fireplace. Grills. Drinking water available at or next to Shelter. Firewood for sale at campground office. Paves access for persons with disabilities. Easy access for caterers. Wateview. Less than 150 ft. from the restrooms. Area around shelter is wooded.
Please do not move picnic tables. Use of tape or staples & placement of signs is not permitted.
