DescriptionSeason for Peak Fees: 05/15 to 09/15Spreading over 24,677 acres of land, Cuyamaca Rancho State Park features meadows, mountains, and oak woodlands. More than half of the park is classified as "wilderness," meaning all vehicles, even bicycles, are prohibited. There are more than 100 miles of riding and hiking trails, including the Cuyamaca Peak Trail which climbs to the 6,512-foot summit with a spectacular view of the Pacific coastline, Colorado Desert, Mexico, and the Salton Sea. The park contains exhibits about Native Americans, gold mining, and natural history. Fishing is seasonal. Services & Amenities:

Your DMV Disabled Placard/License Plate does not automatically give you a discount on your campsite. You will need to obtain a CA State park-issued Disabled Discount Pass (DDP) or Distinguished Veterans Pass (DVP). Due to natural resource and traffic concerns as well as limited Day Use parking, all reservations for family campsites will be limited to three vehicles. Family campsites now have a two-vehicle maximum in their site. If you have a third vehicle, you will need to park it in the Day Use lot. Your second and third vehicles will be charged per night at the park. This will be strictly enforced. Silver Strand SB is now on the reservation system. If campsites are not available at Cuyamaca for the dates of your stay please check Silver Stand's web page for available campsites; Click: HEREFees include entry for 1 vehicle and 1 legally towed vehicle or trailer, additional vehicles will be charged per night at the park. ALL other sites closed due to fire damage till further notice.
