Just want to relax away from the hustle and bustle of city life? The main lodge's large wrap-around deck overlooks acres of amazing beauty. Meander around 10 acres of well-kept grounds and keep an eye out for deer or wild turkeys. Add variety by hiking, mountain biking or horseback riding 4.5 miles of multi-use trails. Like to fish? Alerts and Important Information

Covered Bridge Retreat is available in three options: full retreat, main lodge only, or campground / equestrian only. The full retreat may be booked between December 1st of one year thru March 1st of the following year, for arrival dates within that recreation season. The main lodge and the campground/equestrian options may be booked between March 15th thru the end of that same recreation season. A discount price is offered to those who book the full retreat!

Full Retreat Option includes both the "main lodge option" and the "campground / equestrian option". Gains access to 300 acres of land, the main lodge (see main lodge alert for details), campground (see campground alert for details), comfort station, picnic shelter, all equestrian facilities (horse stables and indoor.outdoor arenas), 1-acre fishing pond and 4.5 miles of woodland trails. An inventory check list of items in the main lodge must be returned to Turkey Run Inn within 24 hours of arrival

Main Lodge Option Includes: a fully furnished and equipped 3-bedroom, 2.5 bath, newly updated lodge with all appliances, three levels of living. Bedding, linens and some basic paper goods provided. Sleeps up to 6 people - one king bed and two queen beds. Non-smoking. No pets allowed. Access to 1-acre fishing pond, 6 horse stables and 4.5 miles of woodland trails. No more than 6 horses allowed. Overnight indoor stalls are available at the stable / riding barn. Hitching rail provided at the main lodge. An inventory check list of items in the main lodge must be completed and returned to Turkey Run Inn within 24 hours of arrival.

Campground / Equestrian Option includes: 21 total campsites, access to a comfort station, open shelter, 4.5 miles of woodland trails and the equestrian facilities. Twelve of the 21 sites are "full sun" electric campsties, complete with 30 amp service and hitching post for each site. Grass campsite and parking pad surface. Site dimensions are 74' x 40' each. Parking pads are 58' x 14' each. No more than 2 horses allowed per site. Water spigot located behind site 28. All trash must be carried out. All manure must be placed in manure bin located behind site 26. Nine of the 21 sites are "partial or full shade" irregular-shaped non-electric campsites. Grass campsite surface for each. No more than 2 tents per non-electric campsite. Access to nearby water spigots. No hitching posts on primitive sites.

Equestrian facilities include: 75' x 100' indoor riding arena, 34 horse stalls (6 for main lodge and 28 for campers), 125' x 200' outdoor riding arena. Only 6 stables go with the "main lodge option", and the rest of the equestrian facilities can be utilized with the "full package option" or the "campground / equestrian option".

The key and welcome package must be picked up at the front desk of Turkey Run Inn at 2pm on Friday, or by appointment only. Guest orientation will occur between 2-3pm on Fridays, or by appointment only.

The key will be returned to Turkey Run Inn by 10am on the date of departure.

No walk-ins are allowed for this facility. All facilities at Covered Bridge Retreat must be reserved in advance within 3 days of arrival, online or through the reservation call center.

INDIANA DNR FIREWOOD RULE: Effective March 17, 2012, a new firewood rule has been implemented on all DNR properties in order to help manage and conserve our forest resources. Check out more information about what types of firewood are or are NOT allowed at www.firewood.dnr.in.gov

From the entrance to Turkey Run State Park, turn right onto IN-47 South. Turn left at the "T" onto IN-41 South. Drive 1.4 miles. Turn right onto Annapolis Rd / County Rd 625 N. Drive 0.8 miles to Annapolis. Road makes 4 sharp turns as you drive through Annapolis. Countinue west out of Annapolis (becomes gravel road). Drive 0.9 miles. Turn right onto County Rd 150 W / County Rd 245 (gravel road). Drive 0.8 miles. Entrance to Covered Bridge Retreat is on the left near wooden sign posts and two white pine trees.

Directions from Rockville:

From the intersection of US41 and US36 turn North onto US41. Drive 6.5 miles. Turn left onto Annapolis Rd / County Rd 625 N to Annapolis. Road makes 4 sharp turns as you drive through Annapolis. Continue west out of Annapolis (becomes gravel road). Drive 0.9 miles. Turn right onto County Rd 150 W / County Rd 245 (gravel raod). Drive 0.8 miles. Entrance to Covered Bridge is on the left near wooden sign posts and two white pine trees.
