DescriptionAncient lava flows, deep gorges and spectacular waterfalls make this one of the state's most scenic parks. Log buildings from the 1930's CCC era add a special charm.Services & Amenities:
Alerts and Important Information Firewood Notice: Currently, firewood is not allowed on Wisconsin State Park, Trail or Forest properties from out of state or from more than 25 miles away from the destination campground. In addition, firewood that has been in a Wisconsin EAB quarantined area is not allowed on properties outside of the quarantined area. Please buy firewood nearby or at the property you are going to. Call the DNR toll-free Firewood Hotline 1-877-303-WOOD (9663) for information before packing for a trip. North Campground sites 2,3, & 4 are open all year. North Campground sites 1, 5-33 are on 1st come / 1st served basis, when not on reservations. Pets must be on a leash and attended at all times. the maintrail,doughboy's nature trail is off-limits to pets. Water system will be turned off on 10/09. Water systems may have to be turned off earlier than 10/09 due to freezing weather. Group campsite is for tents only and one wheeled camper allowed.
