DescriptionAfter three seasons, we at Copake KOA are proud to announce that we are in the top 10% of the campgrounds in the franchise and have received the coveted Founder's Award! Our campground provides fun for the whole family (even the dogs!). The entire park can boast updated electric (20/30/50 amp), free Wi-fi, and Cable television.The campsites are all FHU and can fit even the biggest of rigs or try tenting in our new group tent area! Don't have a camping unit to call your own? Rent a Deluxe Cabin (with a bathroom inside) or one of our one room camping cabins that are located conveniently near our beautiful new and clean bathhouse.
Our 110 acre property offers scenic views in the Historic Hudson Valley - a real gem that was originally developed by Henry Astor. We are located in Columbia County New York but border two other great states - Connecticut and Massachusetts! The entire area is rich in history and fun with a wide variety of attractions nearby.Want to unpack and never leave the campground? We offer a ton of activities and themed weekends to really get you involved! Jump over hay bales, dance at the DJ, play a game of kickball or make a great craft to take home, everyday is full of fun! Come enjoy all we have to offer for a night, a week, or even the whole season!
Please know that we pride ourselves on being a safe and secure place and are a a gated park, and the gate is open 8AM - 8PM daily. After those hours you are only able to enter the park with a gate card. Should you arrive after hours and need a place to stay, we have two full hook up sites before the gate (even with cable) that you can unhook in and take a rest.

From the New York State Thruway I-87:
Exit 21 to RT-23/Catskill. Turn Left onto CR 23E, merge Left towards Hudson. Cross over Rip Van Winkle Bridge (toll) stay on 23E to NY82 (11.7 mi). Turn Left onto CR-7 (4.5 mi). KOA on Right.

From the New York State Thruway I-90:
From the Clock Tower in downtown Copake. The campground is 1.8 miles out of town on County Route 7A. We are a few feet past the turn where 7A and 7
Feel free to call us if you would like directions from a different route or if you have trouble getting our address in your GPS. Sometimes creative abbreviations are necessary such as CR7 CTY RTE 7 etc.
Please remember the Taconic is a quicker route by car from NYC, but large trucks and RV's are not allowed on the Taconic Parkway. No road in NY that is called a Parkway allows trucks or RV's.
