Clear Lake Lake Level: The drought of 2012 has caused the lake at Clear Lake to drop more than 2 feet. The beach at Clear Lake State Park is much larger than normal and is very shallow for a long ways out. You can still boat and fish on the lake but be aware of the low water conditions. Also be careful backing in your trailers at the local boat ramps. Low water has caused some people to drop their trailer axles off the end of the cement ramp.
