Clear Lake State Park is on the shores of California's second largest freshwater lake. The area is popular for all kinds of water recreation, including swimming, fishing, boating and water-skiing. Anglers can catch large mouth bass, crappie, bluegill and channel catfish. The park is the nesting place for waterfowl. Hikers enjoy the Indian Nature Trail, a self-guided trail that shows how the Pomo people lived in the area for centuries, utilized the area's resources. The trail passes through the site of what was once a Pomo village. The park visitor center features displays about the area's natural and cultural history.

Alerts and Important Information
Discount Pass must be presented at the time of check in.

Your DMV Disabled Placard/License Plate does not automatically give you a discount on your campsite. You will need to obtain a CA State park-issued Disabled Discount Pass (DDP) or Distinguished Veterans Pass (DVP).

  • Fees include entry for 1 vehicle and 1 legally towed vehicle or trailer, additional vehicles will be charged per night at the park.

  • Group sites on reservation year round.
  • To book a Group site you must have at least NINE occupants

  • Cole Creek: Reservations available 05/15 - 09/11. Closed when not on reservations.
  • Kelsey Creek: Reservations available 04/01 - 09/30. 1st1st when not on reservations.
  • Lower and Upper Bay View: Reservations available 05/22 - 09/04. Closed when not on reservations
  • Getting There:

    The entrance to the park is 3.5 miles northeast of Kelseyville on Soda Bay Road, north of Calistoga in the wine country.
