Distinguished Veterans

A fee exemption is available for Distinguished Veterans including:

  • Veterans with a 50% or higher service connected disability
  • Prisoners of War
  • Recipients of the Congressional Medal of Honor
  • A valid Distinguished Veteran Pass issued by the California Department of Parks and Rec.
  • A confirming letter from the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Carbon Canyon Regional Park is nestled among the rolling foothills of the Chino Hills range. The park entrance is located 1/2 mile east of Valencia Avenue on Carbon Canyon Road in the city of Brea. To reach the park take the Orange Freeway (57) to Lambert, east five miles to Valencia which turns into Carbon Canyon Road after crossing Valencia. Or, take the Riverside Freeway (91) to the Imperial Highway offramp. Head north on Imperial until reaching Valencia Avenue. Make a right turn on Valencia and then turn right on Carbon Canyon Road.
