Alerts and Important Information
YOUTH GROUP CAMPING INFORMATION:A valid Maryland DNR Youth Group Pass is required to reserve a designated Youth Group Camping Area. Nightly service charges apply. Pass must be valid on date of arrival. Display of Youth Group Pass will be required upon check-in. Additional service charges will be applied if unable to provide proof of valid Pass.
Adult leaders must accompany the group at a ratio of 1 adult to not more than 10 youths. Members of the leader's family or other nonmembers of the registered group are not permitted to camp in the group camping area with the youth group without advance permission from the Park.
A Youth Group must be sponsored by a recognized organization and the youths must be under the age of 18.
The Bay Breeze Youth Group Area is a secured location and is not open to the general public. The combination to the area's security gate will be provided to the customer once the reservation has been booked. Internet reservations please call the Call Center at 1.888.432.2267 to receive the gate combination. Leaders are responsible for securing and locking the entrance gate whenever a member of his/her group enters or exists. The gate is not to be left unlocked.
Generators are not permitted in the Youth Group Camping Areas.
Youth Group camping is restricted to tents only and must be set up in the designated areas. Wheeled units and vehicles are not permitted on the site.
Parking: Each site has designated parking for a specific number of vehicles. Any additional vehicles must park in the main lot or overflow area.
Meeting Space: Youth Group Area #4 is not rented; it is available to group leaders for meetings only. To use this area, contact the Park Office at 301-743-7613.
Facilities: Showers and flushing toilets are NOT available. Pit toilets are located at sites 5 and 7 and must be shared by all groups.
Common Area: The open field adjacent to the overflow vehicle parking is shared by all groups.
Violations: Any camping permit may be cancelled and any person or group may be required to leave the park for violation of park rules and regulations.
Quiet Hours: Quiet time will be maintained from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am

Alcohol is NOT permitted in the Youth Group Camping area.
CLIFFS HAZARD ALERT:
The Park's Cliffs are subject to frequent landslides that may cause serious injury. These events happen without warning. Walking beneath, climbing on and digging in the Cliffs are strictly prohibited. Youth Group leaders are responsible for keeping all members of their group from these activities.
CABIN HAZARD ALERT:
Group Leaders are responsible for keeping all members of their group away from the Cabin at the end of Bay Breeze Road. This structure is clearly marked as hazardous and all visitors must stay away.
Due to the potential threat of the Emerald Ash Borer, the Maryland Department of Natural Resources has prohibited the importation of personal firewood into all DNR owned and managed properties. Please do not bring firewood with you from home when visiting a DNR property.

Maryland State Parks are 'Trash Free'. All trash generated by a group must be taken out by the group. Please bring sufficient large trash bags to accommodate groups trash.
