Area

ALCOHOL POLICY:

The consumption or possession of an open container of an alcoholic beverage will be prohibited in all state park areas with the exception of interior areas of full-service cabins and motorhomes. Permits may be issued upon request by the Park Manager for special events operating under a use agreement.

Alcohol permits will only be issued through a reservation for a designated shelter, or other approved facility. A $35 fee will be charged for each alcohol permit. Permit must be obtained 1-day out prior to arrival. Permits may be revoked for cause by Park Manager, their designee or a Natural Resources Police Officer.

Internet shelter reservations requiring an alcohol permit will need to contact the Call Center at 1-888-432-2267, Mon-Fri, 8 am - 8 pm to make your reservation.

PETS:
Pets allowed- must be on leash at all times.

ENTRANCE SERVICE CHARGE:
In addition to the Shelter charge, there is a $5.00 per car donation requested to enter the park.

FIREWOOD RESTRICTION:
Due to the potential threat of the Emerald Ash Borer, the Maryland Department of Natural Resources has prohibited the importation of personal firewood into all DNR owned and managed properties. Please do not bring firewood with you from home when visiting a DNR property.

TRASH FREE:
Maryland State Parks are 'Trash Free'. All trash generated by a group must be taken out by the group. Please bring sufficient large trash bags to accommodate groups trash.

PRICING:
Prices are subject to change without notice. Reservation fees and cancellation fees are non-refundable.

PARK HOURS:
The Park is open from Sunrise to Sunset. All visitors using the Shelter must leave by Sunset.

CATERERS:
The Shelter offers easy access for caterers. Grills are provided. Vehicles are not to be driven on the grass at any time- including unloading.

FISHING:
Anyone 16 years of age or older must possess a Freshwater Fishing License for the pond and Maryland Sportfishing License for bay fishing at the beach.
