Campers must check-in with with enough time to hike to campsite before nightfall (some sites generally require a hike of 2 or more hours). Campers must register and present a reservation confirmation before setting up. If you do not arrive on the first night of your stay, you will be counted as a no-show, your reservation will be cancelled, and you will forfeit your deposit.
A $9 fee per person per night will be collected at the park upon arrival .
($9 per person, per night) Backcountry Campsite known as 'Laurel Ridge'. You may have up to 20 people and 5 tents. There are no facilities at this campsite. Water must be carried in. Has a fire ring. No vehicle access. Requires a rather strenuous hike of almost 4 miles over steep terrain. This site is locate at an elevation of 3116', on the Southwestern Spur of "Lookoff Mountain', approximately 1/2 mile from 'Lookoff Mountain' backcountry campsite.
