ALL (1) OverviewRustic Bayview South Group Campground is nestled in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest along the banks of Baker Lake on the west side of the Cascades. This area is one of the most spectacular in the the country, showcasing glacier-covered peaks, broad mountain meadows and old-growth forests. Recreational opportunities abound.Natural Features:The Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest offers rugged peaks, scenic rivers and interesting wildlife within the forest and surrounding designated wilderness areas. Recreation:The area is a prime location for hiking, boating, fishing, picnicking and horseback riding in summer and early fall. Visitors can also take advantage of skiing and snowshoeing in the winter months. Facilities:Bayview South Group Campground offers one group site made up on several smaller, individual sites. Tables and campfire rings with grills are provided, as are vault toilets. No drinking water is available. Visitors must bring their own supply. Nearby Attractions:Take some time to visit North Cascades National Park to learn about the diverse landscape and history of the area through interpretive programs and exhibits. (Latitude, Longitude):48.67194, -121.67861 48°40'19"N, 121°40'43"W From Seattle, Washington go north on I-5 to Mt. Vernon, then take exit 230 on State Highway 20. Go past Sedro-Woolley. Take the Baker Lake road north 18 miles to Horseshoe Cove Campground sign and go east 4 miles to Bayview Campground signs. Pick up the key at Horseshoe Cove Campground.
