History and geology buffs will enjoy the park`s effigy mounds, lime kiln and quarry.Services & Amenities:
Alerts and Important InformationDue to a Triathlon on Saturday, June 19, 2010 the road will be closed from 7a.m. to noon and campers will be unable to leave the park until after noon. Water available in the campground late April or early May and then turned off about mid October. Weather/staffing dictates opening and closing of buildings.Firewood is not allowed on Wisconsin State Park or Forest properties from out of state or from more than fifty miles away from the property you are going to. Also, firewood that has been in the Wisconsin Emerald Ash Borer quarantined areawww.emeraldashborer.wi.gov/pdf/WIEABQuarantine.pdf is not allowed on properties outside of the quarantined area. Please buy firewood nearby or at the property you are going to. Call the DNR toll-free Firewood Hotline 1-877-303-WOOD (9663) for information before packing up for a trip. Reservations accepted 04/01 to 10/31 each year.
