Description

Two forks of the Black River flow through this State Forest. High sandstone abutments overlook nearly 68,000 acres of pine and oak forest.

  • 2009:
    • 05/15 to 09/06.
  • 2010:
    • 05/14 to 09/05.

  • Campground is 1st come / 1st served when not on reservations.
  • There are 2 other campgrounds (Pigeon Creek, open year round and East Fork, open from April to December.) All sites are first come, first served.

    A permit for backpacking is required.

    Vehicle admission stickers are required.Click here for cost of the sticker. Reservations cannot be cancelled online.

    Black River Falls WI 54615-9276

    From I-94, take Black River Falls Exit 116, Hwy 54. Drive to the second set of traffic lights. Turn left (south) onto Hwy 12/27. Then turn left (east) onto Hwy 12. The campground is located approximately one mile east on Hwy 12.
