Description

Wasatch Mountain State Park, in beautiful Heber Valley, is both a summer and winter destination. The 36-hole golf course has won numerous local and national awards for its good play and excellent course conditions. Golf, camping, picnicking, hiking, and horseback riding are popular warm weather activities. Winter brings snowmobilers, snowshoers, and cross-country skiers. Soldier Hollow, the 2002 Olympic winter venue is located at the park's south end, and is open year-round for summer and winter activities, including biathlon, cross-country skiing, tubing, mountain biking, and hiking. Park facilities include 139 camping/picnicking areas, two group day-use pavilions, modern restrooms, hot showers and utility hookups. The chalet, a ranch-style building complete with kitchen facilities, is available for summer and winter group outings. The primitive Little Deer Creek campground is an excellent area for summer group parties and reunions. All camping is closed during winter months.

From Salt Lake City: The park is located 2.5 miles west of Midway. Take Interstate 80 east to the Heber Exit, take US 40 to Heber, then Highway 113 west to Midway and follow signs to the park.

From Provo: Take US 189 to Heber, then Highway 113 to Midway and follow signs to the park.
