Inks Lake State Park, TXDescriptionEntrance fee:$5 per day per person 13 and older for Day Use. $4 per day, per person 13 and older for Overnight Use. $3 per day, per person for TX residents 65 on 9/1/95 or after for day us $2 per day, per person for TX residents 65 on 9/1/95 or after for overni Entrance fees are in addition to campsite or day use facility fees. An excess vehicle fee will be charged for all vehicles over the limit of 2 per site. Office Hours: Mar-Apr: Sun-Thur(8am-5pm) Fri(8am-10pm) Sat(8am-7pm). May-Jul: Sun-Thur(8am-7pm) Fri(8am-10pm) Sat(8am-7pm). Aug-Nov: Sun-Thur(8am-5pm) Fri(8am-10pm) Sat(8am-6pm). Dec-Feb: Seven Days a week 8am-5pm. Campers MAY CHOOSE to arrive at 8am to sign up for the 9am waiting list early checkin. Available sites will be assigned on a 1st come, 1st serv basis. Other campsites may not be vacant until 2pm. Due to limited parking in the park, visitors are encouraged to carpool whenever possible. Mini-cabins have replaced the screened shelters. No school sponsored rates for overnight camping. Alerts and Important InformationHUNT DATES 2009-2010: Dec.1-3,8-10,29-31 The Hiking Trail and all Trails at Longhorn Caverns will be closed from 10pm on the day before the hunt & reopen at 2pm on the last day of the huntJan. 5-7,12-14, 19-21 The East Side of Park Road 4 including Pecan Flat Primitive Camping Area will be closed from 10pm on the dy before the hunt & reopen at 2pm on the last day of the hunt. Park does not have a gate. CHECK IN: All campers are required to check in at the park headquarters before occupying a site. PAYMENT: You may pay by cash, check (with valid drivers license), travelers check or credit card (Discover, MasterCard or Visa). ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES: Public consumption or display of an open container of an alcoholic beverage is prohibited. PETS: Pets must be attended and on a six-foot leash at all times. Pets are not allowed in any park buildings, cabins, or shelters. FIREWOOD: Gathering of firewood is prohibited. QUESTIONS/CONCERNS: For specific park-related questions/concerns, please contact the park. CHANGES TO RESERVATIONS: Any changes made to reservations may be calculated at new rates, and will be charged an administrative fee. Check-in and check-out times subject to change without notice. CONFIRMED RESERVATION: If your reservation is confirmed, your site will be held on the day of arrival no matter what time you arrive at the park You do not need to call the park. If you do not show up by 9am the following morning, your site will be released and reservations cancelled. Additional charges may be incurred at the park for entrance fees and other use fees. REFUND POLICY: The majority of sites - if you cancel and/or make changes more than 2 days prior to arrival, you will receive a full refund minus a $5 admin fee per site plus any reservation fees. Within 48 hours prior to arrival or if you do not go to the park, you will lose the first nights payment. Group Sites of $100 or more per day - If you cancel and/or make changes more than 60 days prior to arrival, you will receive a full refund minus a $25 admin fee per site plus any reservation fees. Within 60 days prior arrival, you will lose the first nights payment. If you do not go to the park, no refund is given. To cancel a reservation, contact Customer Service at (512) 389-8900, 7 days a week. Getting There:Inks Lake State Park3630 Park Rd 4 West Burnet TX 78611 From Austin: Take HWY 71 West to HWY 290. Hwy 290 to Hwy 281. Hwy 281 to P Park Rd 4. Turn left on Park Rd 4 for 12 miles. Or Hwy 183 to Hwy 29. Hwy 29 to Burnet. From Burnet take Hwy 29 West for 9 miles. Turn left on Park Road 4, go 3 miles to Park Headquarters. From San Antonio: Take Hwy 281 North to Park Rd. 4. Turn Left on park road 4 for 12 miles until you reach the park. Trailer recommended to take 29 west for 9 miles from Burnet to Park Rd. South 3 miles to Park Headquarters.
