Description

Robert H. Treman State Park is an area of wild beauty, with the rugged gorge called Enfield Glen as its scenic highlight. Winding trails follow the gorge past 12 waterfalls, including the 115-foot Lucifer Falls, to where visitors can see a mile-and-a-half down the wooded gorge as it winds its way to the lower park. Enjoy nine miles of hiking trails, or swim in a stream-fed pool beneath a waterfall. The outdoor recreation here is spectacular.

Robert H. Treman State Park is located in Tompkins County, along State Route 327.

Recreation:

Summer visitors will enjoy lounging at the beach. Fishing, hiking, and hunting may be enjoyed into the fall and in the spring. The park offers recreation programs for visitors, and scenic views, including views of the park's waterfalls, may be experienced year-round.

Facilities:

All of the park's facilities, and most of the park's activities, are handicapped-accessible. The park has a beach, cabins, campsites, dumping stations, picnic tables and pavilions, scenic views, and restrooms with showers.

Alerts and Important Information

To insure fairness for all NY customers, any reservation with departure dates outside the 9-month Maximum Window can not be changed or cancelled until 18 days after the reservation was made.

CAMPSITES

  • Reservations for campsites may be booked 9 months in advance for a 1-night minimum stay.
  • 2 sleeping tents maximum or 1 camping unit and 1 small tent per site.
  • There is a 2 week maximum rental period for both campsites and cabins all the time.

    CABINS

  • Cabins require a 2-night minimum stay during non-peak season.
  • During Peak season, cabins stays run 7 or 14 days only from Saturday to Saturday.
  • Tents are not permitted in the cabin area.
  • Cabins are rustic, with no bedding, no cookware, and no heat.
  • Portable heaters of any kind are not permitted

    PETS

    • Pets must have current rabies certificate.
    • Pets must be on a 6 foot leash and attended to at all times.
    • Pets are NOT permitted in the swimming area.

    Peak season runs from the end of June to the end of August. A person may be the primary site occupant for 14 total days of camping within a 16 day period. S/he must leave the park for 48 hours once they have stayed the maximum number of days allowed before beginning a new reservation.
