DescriptionJust north of the mighty Niagara Falls, Four Mile Creek State Park's campsites sit near the shores of Lake Ontario. The park's hiking trails wind along densely wooded bluffs. The marsh at the mouth of Four Mile Creek is home to fauna such as great blue herons and white-tailed deer, while flora, such as stunning white trillium and greenbrier, grow along its banks.Geography:Four Mile Creek State Park is located on the shore of Lake Ontario, just 15 minutes north of Niagara Falls, in Niagara County. Recreation:Popular activities include biking, fishing, hiking, picnicking, and camping. Playgrounds are located in 100 Area, 200 area near the campstore. Facilities:Campsites, some with electricity, are located near the shores of Lake Ontario and offer spectacular panoramic views. Campsites have dumping stations and showers. The park also offers food, a camp store at Four Mile Creek, laundry facilities, a nature trail, picnic tables, a playground, and recreational activities led by park staff. Nearby Attractions:Nearby state parks include Earl W. Brydges Artpark State Park, Wilson-Tuscarora State Park, Joseph Davis State Park, Niagara Falls State Park, and Fort Niagara State Park. Alerts and Important InformationFurnished Tent Rentals available on sites 135, 146 and 164. Check it out!! FARMERS MARKET - Check with the park on dates for the 2010 season. Offering in season fruits and veggies, locally produced wine and wine tasting...and more! Pets must have proof of current rabies inoculation. Pets must also be on a leash that is less than 6 feet long and attended at all times. There is a pooper-scooper law in effect to help keep the park clean. Please do not tie your pet to trees, shrubs, electrical poles, or other stationary objects. Not all site numbers are beside each other. Consult the park maps for location of adjacent sites. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. and strictly enforced. Campers must be 21 years of age or older to possess or consume alcohol. There is a camp store located at this park. Peak season: A person may be the primary site occupant for 14 total days of camping within a 16 day period. S/he must leave the park for 48 hours once they have stayed the maximum number of days allowed before beginning a new reservation. Please be considerate of other campers.
