DescriptionCumberland Bay State Park, on the west shore of Lake Champlain, is a very popular day-use area because of its large natural sand beach and picnic grounds with tables and grills. The park has campsites, a playground, and playing fields. Cross-country runners frequent the park in the fall.Geography:Cumberland Bay State Park is located on Lake Champlain, although it is part of the Thousand Island State Park Region. It is 160 miles east of the Thousand Islands area. Recreation:Park visitors enjoy romping on the playing fields, camping, picnicking, and lounging on the beach. The park is a runner's paradise, especially in the fall. Facilities:The park's food pavilions, picnic tables, showers, and campsites are all handicapped-accessible; other park offerings include the beach and playing fields. Nearby Attractions:Macomb Reservation State Park, John Brown Farm State Historic Site, Point Au Roche State Park, and Crown Point State Historic Site are all nearby. Services & Amenities:
