Accessible only by boat, Cedar Island State Park takes up half of Cedar Island. The park is favored by people who appreciate quiet boating, fishing and beautiful scenery. The park's campsites are lightly wooded, with a day-use area and picnic pavilion nearby.

To insure fairness for all NY customers, any reservation with departure dates outside the 9-month Maximum Window can not be changed or cancelled until 18 days after the reservation was made.

This is Cedar Island State Park. It is not part of the Kring Point Camping Area. Is Cedar Island the campground you are requesting. Cedar Island sites are accessible by boat only, there are no bridges or ferries. Boat rentals available at Wellesley Island State Park Marina.

  • Pets must have a current rabies certificate and be kept on a 6 foot leash.
  • Fires in fire rings ONLY!
  • Campers must be 18 years old to register.
  • Peak season: A person may be the primary site occupant for 14 total days of camping within a 16 day period. S/he must leave the park for 48 hours once they have stayed the maximum number of days allowed before beginning a new reservation.
  • This Park operates under a 2-day window for advance reservations.

The park is located in Chippewa Bay, near Hammond, and only accessible by boat. The best access is from the public boat launch and parking area in the Village of Chippewa Bay. Boat rentals are available nearby; call the park for information. 315-482-2444
