CHERRY CREEK STATE PARK, CO

Description

Cherry Creek State Park offers a great getaway from the daily grind, with recreation opportunities anchored around a 880 surface-acre lake. Visitors can view birds in their natural habitat. Fun seekers visit the park to enjoy boating, jet and water skiing, sailing, fishing, swimming, biking, horseback riding, and more. It provides the convenience of close-in camping at its 125 sites located on the east side of the reservoir.

Alerts and Important Information

Camping fees do not include the cost of a park pass. Every vehicle entering the park, including RVs and towed vehicles, must have a park pass for each day they are in the park.
  • Abilene Loop: Full hook-up sites reservable year-round.

  • Buffalo Loop: Full hook-up sites reservable April 1 - October 31. Loop closed November 1 - March 31.

  • Coyote Loop: Full hook-up sites reservable April 1 - October 31. Sites available on a first come, first serve basis from November 1 - March 31, with electric and sewer only.

  • Cottonwood Grove Loop: Basic camping sites reservable year-round.

  • Gold Rush: Full hook-up sites reservable May 23- September 30. Loop closed October 1 - May 22..

  • Pioneer Loop: Full hook-up sites reservable April 1- October 31. Loop closed November 1- March 31.

  • Prairie Ridge Loop: Prairie Ridge offers three group campsites. Sites are reservable from May 23- September 30.

  • Reservations for group camping are made at the park. To make reservations please contact Campground Registration at 303-690-1166 ext. 720.
