Season for Peak Fees: All Year

Salt Point State Park includes six miles of the Sonoma Coast, ranging from sandy beach coves to steep bluffs and sandstone cliffs. At the top of the coastal ridge there is a large prairie and pygmy forest. Wildlife includes the long-tailed weasel, wild pigs, brown pelicans and other water birds, blacktail deer, raccoons, coyotes, and a variety of rodents. The park has miles of hiking and horseback trails. The area is also the site of an underwater reserve for divers.

Park Kiosk Hours:

  • Hi Season: 8am-4pm
  • During the "lo season" the kiosks at Salt Point are not staffed.

Fees include entry for 1 vehicle and 1 legally towed vehicle or trailer, additional vehicles will be charged per night at the park.

  • All sites at Salt Point:
    • 1st come / 1st serve when not on reservations.
    • Reservations: 03/13 to 10/31 each year.
  • WOODSIDE and GERSTLE COVE are the loops in this park.
  • To book a Group site you must have at least NINE occupants.
