Alerts and Important Information
One must carry all camping gear, including drinking water, to the campsites which are 1 to 2.5 miles from where vehicles are parked. Campers should try to allow ample time to reach the campsite before dark. All sites are wooded. Most sites have open-air toilets, unless they share a pit toilet with another site. Open-air toilets only have a 4- foot wooden back screen. There are no walls, roof, or door. They will not see another site from their site. All sites have shoreline access to Lake Michigan, with the exception of site 14, which is on the Europe Lake Shoreline. Site amenities include pit toilet (no toilet paper is provided), two wooden benches, a combination fire ring/grill, and a metal food storage box. There are no picnic tables at the sites. Drinking water is available at the picnic area hand pump, from May through October, and at the park office year-round. Dead and downed wood may be collected for firewood. Porcupines and raccoons can be a problem. Vehicle admission stickers are required.Click here for cost of the sticker. Reservations cannot be cancelled online.
